Empire State Winter Games

While the Olympics are coming up, many amateur athletes in the local area are preparing for their own mini Olympics with the Empire State Winter Games starting February 1. This is a jammed packed weekend throughout the region where regional athletes compete at local venues in their respective sport. There are 30 events over 17 sports that these athletes compete in. With last years competition yielding over 2,100 athletes this is guaranteed to be an exciting one of a kind experience in Lake Placid and the surrounding area.

Figure Skating – Lake Placid Olympic Center – 2/2 – 2/4

Short Track Speed Skating – Lake Placid Olympic Center – 2/3 – 2/4

Long Track Speed Skating – Olympic Oval – 2/2 – 2/3

Marathon Skate – Olympic Oval – 2/3

Winter Bike – Whiteface Mountain/ Village of LP – 2/3

Ski Jumping – Olympic Jump Complex – 2/2 – 2/3

Nordic Combined – Olympic Jump Complex – 2/3

Junior Alpine – Pisgah – 2/4

Alpine – Whiteface Mountain – 2/2 – 2/4

Ski & Border Cross – Whiteface Mountain – 2/1 – 2/2

Moguls – Whiteface Mountain – 2/3 – 2/4

Rail Jam – Titus Mountain – 2/3

Biathlon – Mt. Van Hoevenburg – 2/3 – 2/4
