Announcing the unique opportunity to privately own a “Piece of the Adirondacks”. Step back in time to the untouched beauty of 4,200 acres and 2 pristine lakes. This is the first time in over five decades that the property has been available for private purchase. Cedarlands has an expansive scouting campus and six square miles of managed conserved timberlands.
McRorie Lake & Mud Pond
The focal point of the property is the stunning McRorie Lake, a 400-acre clear water lake with beach frontage, pine-covered islands and one of a kind mountain views. McRorie Lake is reported to be 45 feet deep with game fish such as large mouth and small mouth bass as well as yellow perch.
On the southwestern region of this campus is the equally stunning Mud Pond. This 60-acre pond is a favorite fishing destination for many. It also offers wonderful wildlife viewing and quiet boating providing a relaxing day on or around the water.
Base Camp
The Base Camp has been the center of scouting activities. The camp has over 20 building what could provide immediate infrastructure for a group camp or weekend retreat. Currently the accommodations can sleep 35 in the buildings as well as an additional 10 seasonal tent sites that could host up to 280 guests. The McRorie Building is the center piece of the entire camp. This 2,300 square foot Adirondack-style main lodge and trading post was built in 2010. It has cathedral ceilings and could serve as a private family lodge or an office for future group facilities.
